The food was very tasty and different every day. Richard, the owner, gave us a warm welcome and is always looking after his guests. In Buhoma there are so many things to explore aside the gorilla tracking so it’s worth to stay longer than the usual two nights as most of the guests do (we stayed longer 😀). I’m sure to come back and stay again at Buhoma Gorilla Camp!

The lodge is composed by few beautiful cottages immersed in the forest. We were surrounded by greenery and the sound of birds and the flowing water in the tiny river passing underneath our family room. The service was excellent: Richard and his team were super nice and kind, also extremely helpful solving the issues we had with other companies, they made us feel part of a family. This place will remain in our hearts and I really recommend it to anybody wishing to spend few days in exploring this wonderful region and meet the gorillas. You feel the real Africa, in the middle of the forest, and the lodges are wooden made and eco-friendly. I can strongly recommend this place where we hope to soon be back

I was the only guest and you made me feel like a princess! I stayed at... read more Buhoma Gorilla camp for two nights and had an amazing time. The staff was very welcoming when I arrived. They gave me the biggest room even though I was travelling alone. The room was very spacious but still cozy because of the nice decorations. At first my shower didn't give hot water but when I told manager Joshua about it, it was fixed very quickly so I was able to enjoy a nice hot shower with good water pressure.

Also the restaurant/ lounge area is very cool! It's upstairs and they have these super comfortable couches to sit on. I spend a lot of time there using Wifi (which works very well) or just talking to the staff! Richard Magezi (the owner) also came to talk to me and have breakfast together which was very nice, thank you for joining me!

Location is perfect for gorilla tracking , which I didn't do because I already did a tracking in january this year. It's very close to the park entrance so you don't have to get up super early and drive far to start the tracking. I did one of the nature walks in the area which was also stunning.

You can really notice it's a family business, everybody is really involved and very kind! I highly recommend staying here.
